The Outpatient Surgery Department
is the primary admission point for most patients
who are undergoing surgical procedures at University
Hospital. This includes patients who are going
home immediately following the procedure; patients
who need to stay overnight for further observation;
and those who may be admitted into the hospital
for a more lengthy recovery period. Because
we are committed to quality care, we maintain
the highest professional practice standards.

The outpatient surgery department
has sixteen comfortable patient rooms and cubicles.
A television is provided in all enclosed rooms.
The area features a bright, comfortable waiting
area for patients and families. The department
encompasses pre and postoperative areas, operating
rooms and the post anesthesia care unit (recovery
room).
